Subaru Ascent Off Road Sand Racing a Subaru Outback 3.6R and 1998 Forester at Silver Lake Sand Dunes

In October 2023, a few friends of mine and I went off-roading at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We decided to have some fun racing on the dunes, which helped me answer, quite visually, how the Ascent’s FA24F compares to the Gen 5 Outback’s H6 3.6R. We off-roaded a Subaru Ascent and Subaru Forester and Gen 5 Subaru Outback 3.6R H6

In the race:

– My 2019 Subaru Ascent with GVWR of 6,000 pounds

– Jason and Downer in a 1998 Subaru Forester with a GVWR of 4,133 pounds

– @bruceyyyyy in his 2017 Subaru Outback 3.6R

I am, as those of you who follow me likely know, loaded in 2nd and 3rd row, and the cargo area, as usual, lol! So, let’s see who won!!!
