AUG 26 NOON-5P (MDT) Escalante to Alstrom Point Off Road Adventure through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument
SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2023 AT 12 PM – 5 PM
Join us on our Escalante to Alstrom Point Off Road Adventure through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument!
Off Road Adventure from Escalante to Alstrom Point through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, ending in Big Water Utah. This will be **OVER 100 MILES** of off-roading through changing scenery and numerous elevation changes
NOON to 5PM
Start location is Horizon Arch Parking Area on BLM 300/Smoky Mtn Road, at coordinates 37.7388734,-111.628118.
NOTE: We will be traversing the Kelly Grade Switchbacks. These are rough switchbacks that require skid plates and 1″+ lift.
MUST HAVE:
- All Terrain Tires
- Skid Plates
- WILDERNESS or AT LEAST 1″ LIFT RECOMMENDED
This event is to benefit the National Park Foundation.
NOTES:
- There will be a Phillips 66 Gas Station in Escalante to fill up before the event (FILL UP!!!), and there will be a gas station in Big Water to fill up after the event.
- You are responsible for your own permits (they’re FREE). Permits can be gotten at Escalante Interagency Visitor Center at 755 West Main Street Escalante, UT 84726 (open 9a-4p)
